Adam Friedlander is a photographer based in New York City. He studied music in college, then decided to pursue photography shortly after graduating. His approach to photography is similar to his musical background: calculated and precise, while embracing improvisation and playfulness. His work romanticizes the mundane, and creates an atmosphere of warmth and yearning.
He can often be found flipping through a photo book while listening to ’60s Blue Note records.
